A monthly $10 donation will sponsor one of our sanctuary rabbits and help cover the cost of their lifelong care with us. Your support will help provide essentials like food, medication, vaccines, and thorough vet care, ensuring they live happy and healthy lives while they are with us. Every sponsor receives a sponsorship package in the mail and is added to our holiday mailing list. 

Why support sanctuary rabbits? Sanctuary rabbits are the heart of rabbit rescue because they demonstrate the importance of proper rabbit care. Sanctuaries provide vital support to rabbits with long-term health and behavior conditions. At HRS Chicago, we provide for all rabbits in our care, regardless of disability, age or long-term care needs.

Emma & Hank
Emma & Hank are super seniors at 13 & 12 years old! They are stable but Emma has kidney disease and needs her molars worked on occasionally.

Flower, Crystal & Jules
These girls are all seniors with significant dental disease. They need their teeth worked on monthly which costs us about $300/month. Crystal has early cardiomyopathy and just takes a heart supplement for now.

Mario & Luigi
Mario has megacolon and dental disease. He’s a bit of a genetic mess but stable with his current medication and dental routine. Luigi had significant malocclusion so had to have his incisors removed. His molars will be a lifelong problem for him.

Brooke Shields
Brooke has an inoperable granuloma on her uterine stump from when she was spayed which causes her to stop eating for about a week every month. Her episodes have increased in duration as time has gone on. We treat her with supportive care at home to get her through each episode. Her injectable meds cost around $400 every few months.

Snow & Spritz
Snow & Spritz both have pasteurella so need to be closely monitored for upper respiratory symptoms. They live free roam with a wonderful forever foster mom. Interested in becoming a forever foster? Apply here.
